Lavender Goat Farm is a small specialty farm owned and operated by Llana and Bryan, homestead farmers who drastically changed their lives to embark on a nature-filled dream. After years being part of the hustle and bustle of Hollywood’s entertainment industry as actors and filmmakers, they both longed to be a part of something more fulfilling and healing to their bodies and souls. For them, this meant getting away from the city and finding refuge in nature. After a mandatory evacuation from their home in Hollywood due to the extreme wild fires in California, they decided it was time to leave LA and begin their new journey. For Llana, who grew up in a small farm community in rural Massachusetts, becoming a farmer was a long-time dream. For Bryan, it was a new opportunity and challenge that he couldn’t wait to tackle. The goal: become as self sufficient as possible as homesteaders while growing specialty crops and cottage goods to sell.

Because their love and knowledge of entertainment and filmmaking will always be a part of their lives, they made their journey, From Hollywood to the Homestead, into a YouTube series, with hopes to not only chronicle this ambitious life change (and all its challenges and successes), but to help educate folks like you about beginner farming and homesteading.

Today, Llana and Bryan spend long hours working their new farm in Greensboro, North Carolina. They grow multiple varieties of corn, lavender, pumpkins, squash, melons, cucumbers, tomatoes, green beans, and a vast variety of herbs. They make delicious jarred goods, including organic pickles and multiple varieties of berry jams. They are also proud caretakers of free range egg laying hens, goats, and their amazing rescue dog, Teddy.
